The rules
Terms of use
The agreement between you and Kaevor for using the app and the website.
Last updated 13 October 2026
About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Kaevor Ltd ("Kaevor", "we", "us") for using the Kaevor app on iPhone and Apple Watch and the website at kaevorclub.com. Buying kit from the shop is also covered by our delivery and returns policy. By using Kaevor you agree to these terms. Please also read our privacy policy, which explains how we use your data.
Who can use Kaevor
You must be 13 or over. If you are under 18, you need the permission of a parent or guardian. One account is for one person; please do not share it or let anyone else record runs on it.
Your account
Give us accurate details and keep your sign-in safe. You are responsible for what happens on your account. If you think someone else has got in, reset your password or email us straight away. You can delete your account at any time from Profile in the app.
Run safely
Running is exercise, and exercise has risks. If you have a medical condition, are returning from injury, or are unsure whether running is right for you, speak to a doctor first. Nothing in Kaevor is medical advice.
Stay aware of your surroundings, follow the rules of the road, and do not look at your phone or watch where it is not safe to. Routes the app suggests are generated automatically and have not been checked by a person: they may cross busy roads, private land or unsafe ground. Use your own judgement and never follow a route that does not look safe.
Distances, pace, speed and climb come from GPS and your device's sensors, and are close estimates rather than exact measurements.
Fair play and the leaderboard
The leaderboard and Miles Club only mean something if every mile is real. Only record runs, walks and wheelchair pushes you did yourself. Do not record or import miles travelled by car, bike, scooter or any other vehicle, use someone else's activities, or interfere with GPS or the app to inflate your numbers.
Kaevor checks runs automatically and may leave out any that do not look possible on foot. If we believe an account is being used to cheat, we may remove runs, reset totals, withdraw rewards that were unlocked with them, or suspend the account.
Your name and photo
Your name and profile photo are shown to other runners. They must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, misleading, or someone else's, and must not include links or contact details. You keep ownership of your photo; you give us permission to store it and show it inside Kaevor for as long as it is on your account.
You can report or block any runner from their card on the leaderboard. We review reports and may remove names or photos, or suspend accounts, that break these terms.
Rewards and the Miles Club
Reaching a Miles Club milestone unlocks the right to buy that milestone's kit. Unlocking does not mean the kit is free unless we say so. Some drops are limited and have a claim window; once it closes, or stock runs out, that drop may not be available again.
XP, ranks, badges and unlocks have no cash value and cannot be sold or transferred. We may change how rewards work, add or retire rewards, or correct mistakes in anyone's totals, and we will give notice of significant changes where we can.
Buying
Remove ads is a one-off purchase through Apple's App Store, on Apple's terms. You can restore it on a new phone from Profile.
Kit is sold through the shop on our website, with payment handled by Stripe. Our delivery and returns policy gives you 30 days to change your mind, longer than the law requires, and nothing in it or in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Strava
Connecting Strava is optional. If you connect it, Strava's own terms also apply to your Strava account, and you can disconnect at any time from Profile. Activities from Strava count toward your own miles and rewards but are not shown to other runners or counted on the public leaderboard. Kaevor is not part of Strava, and Strava is a trademark of Strava, Inc.
Adverts
The free app shows adverts. We are not responsible for what is advertised or for anything you buy from an advertiser.
Using the app
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Kaevor for your own running. Please do not copy, sell or reverse engineer it, scrape other runners' details, try to get into systems or accounts that are not yours, or do anything that harms the service or other runners. The Kaevor name, logo, app and designs belong to Kaevor Ltd.
Kaevor is still new and we keep improving it. Features may change, and occasionally the service may be unavailable while we fix or update it. We will try to keep this to a minimum.
Ending
You can stop using Kaevor and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and will usually tell you why. If we ever stop running Kaevor, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to download your data.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
The app itself is provided free of charge. Apart from the above, we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for losses caused by things outside our control, or for injuries that happen while you are exercising, except where they are caused by our own negligence.
Apple
These terms are between you and Kaevor Ltd, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Kaevor or its content, and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it. If the app fails to meet any warranty that applies, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid for it, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. Apple is not responsible for any claims about the app, including product liability, failure to meet legal requirements, consumer protection, or intellectual property claims; those are our responsibility to the extent these terms say so. Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Changes, law and contact
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top, and tell you in the app before significant changes take effect. If you keep using Kaevor after that, the new terms apply.
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts can hear any dispute. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
